Softwash Chemical Cleaning Kills & Controls:

Algae Growth
Algae growth can appear as green red or brown areas of powdery deposits that may be slimy under wet conditions.

Lichens & Moss
Lichens & Moss feed on minerals & require light to grow. Lichens look like leathery incrustations on the surface. Mosses are usually green cushions/tufts.

Mould
Moulds live off organic material and don’t need light to grow. They appear as spots or patches in grey, green, brown or black.

Bacteria
Bacteria live off various food sources and can’t be seen with the naked eye. They do sometimes create discolouration on stone or metal surfaces.

To make sure your render is as clean as possible and to aid Longevity of the clean the use of our softwash chemicals kill all the biofilm on contact, this is then left to penetrate the biofilm to its root and is the gently washed off using ultra low pressure steam.
The chemicals we use to clean the lichen is government approved and is incredibly safe, meaning it won’t damage your render or the environment.

So it’s best to leave this job to the professionals.
How do you maintain rendering?
The best way to maintain your external rendering is regular care. When you notice any growth that could affect the render, you should aim to get it removed as soon as possible. You should also not try to clean it yourself if your render is damaged, as this can make it worse.
